Manufacturing

You will learn to
  • Use traditional machining and manufacturing processes for various materials
  • Install, repair, and maintain machinery and heavy equipment
  • Program machines, design production tooling, and improve manufacturing processes
  • Understand the systems and components of modern equipment
Intern
The theoretical and the practical come together in manufacturing technology. Students in the Manufacturing Concentration will learn about the three basic engineering materials (metals, ceramics, and polymers) and their manufacturing processes. This concentration emphasizes theoretical and practical applications of measurement principles and introduces students to the fundamental behavior of materials. The early stages of mechanical design concepts are presented using CADD, prototyping, and patent search skills.
Intern
Manufacturing refers to the methods and processes applied to the industrial production that transform raw materials into finished goods. Specialized processes take place in modern facilities with high-tech devices such as robots, highly automated systems, computer controlled machining systems, and intricate assembly machinery. You can become skilled to meet the needs of our changing world!
